What is a termite soil treatment?
The standards for termite treatment vary depending on the type of new construction. For example, monolithic or raised block slab, crawlspaces, beach houses, or any combination of these types of construction types require treatment application to the areas where the structure meets the soil. The amount of termiticide needed depends on the construction style.
Termite soil treatment services include: Treating soil below slab construction homes, treating the soil areas around plumbing penetrations, all the soil below dirt-filled porches, all of the soil underneath slab garages, soil adjacent to the inside of scrawl space foundation walls, areas around piers, inside of all voids, and the outer perimeter of any construction type once the final grade of the soil is established.
Do I Get a Warranty?
When the structure is first treated, the builder is provided with a one year warranty, which starts the day of the treatment. Strand also offers an additional four year warranty to the homeowner that will cover the cost of repairing or replacing any termite damage or treatment cost that occurs during the contractual period.
